Based in Coastal Virginia, U.S.A., I specialize in lifestyle and studio newborn photography, maternity, engagements, high school seniors, family portraits, and select special events.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, where much of my family still lives today, my love for photography began in the 1990s while studying art and photography at the Frank Joubert Art Centre (now the Peter Clarke Art Centre) in Newlands, Western Cape. In those days, photography was a slower, more intentional craft—developing film in darkrooms filled with chemicals, machines, and patience as images slowly emerged from negatives into prints. It was a magical process that sparked a lifelong love for photography and storytelling through images.
That passion has stayed with me ever since.
Now based in Virginia, I find endless inspiration in capturing the beauty of real connection and meaningful moments. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me caring for our energetic Mini Australian Shepherds or helping manage my husband’s chiropractic clinic in Newport News.
I adore photographing every season of life—from the tiniest newborn details to the wisdom and connection found in older generations—but what matters most to me is helping every person who steps in front of my camera feel seen, comfortable, loved, and beautiful.
Photographs become more valuable with time. My goal is to create timeless, heartfelt images that preserve not only how life looked, but how it felt—memories you and your family will treasure for decades to come.
